TMP Team

Team supervisor : Olivier DEZELLUS

The main objectives that pursue the TMP team are :

  • The comprehension of the interfacial reactivity mechanisms for Liquid/Gaz, Solid/Liquid and Solid/Solid interfaces.
  • Improvement of industrial processes (brazing, soldering, extraction/distillation, purification, CO2 capture, preferential cristallisation…)
  • Optimization and enhancement of material properties (Metal Matrix Composites, Magnesium Alloys…)



To do so, the “Materials and Processes Thermodynamics” team is structured in 4 main research axes :

The common approach that brings the four main research axes together is :

  • The determination of Liquiq-Solid-Gas phase equilibria in a temperature range from Room temperature up to 2000°C.
  • The determination of the thermodynamic values associated to the phases, the phase equilibria and the transformations.
  • The calculation of phase diagrams (CALPHAD method, etc…).
