The Molecular Inorganic Chemistry and Precursors (CIMP) team brings together chemists working on the design, synthesis and characterization of molecular-based architectures and original inorganic polymers (molecules, macromolecules, preceramic polymers, inorganic and coordinating polymers) with predefined properties. The design and synthesis of these new compounds is always done with the concern to understand the structure/property relationships. The team’s skills enable it to go from the synthesis of precursors to the shaping of materials. The CIMP team’s mission is to continuously develop skills in inorganic synthesis and characterization and to enhance the know-how developed in molecular chemistry, inorganic polymers and hybrid materials.
